I build EV charging software, and I have done it from both sides. For six years I wrote the code: OCPP 1.6J over Java WebSocket, a full OCPI 2.2.1 roaming implementation, a CPMS that ran 1,000 chargers, and the billing engine underneath it. Today I run a product line built on those same protocols. The engineering did not stop when the title changed. It is why the roadmap calls and certification plans I make hold up once they reach a real charger.
Energic is an EV charging SaaS company operating across the GCC. I own three core products on a multi tenant platform — Device Hub for OEMs and resellers, Network for charge point operators, and Mobility for eMSPs — plus the ChargeX driver app. Day to day that means requirement specs, OCPP and OCPI certification readiness, tariff and settlement design across multiple currencies and tax regimes, and supporting the sales team on technical scope.
